Alongside the MJF Residency, the Montreux Songwriting Camp takes place from October 15 to 17 at Villa Sylvia Waddilove in Villeneuve. The songs created during these three days will be presented to the public in a listening session at the Petit Palais of the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace.

SUISA and Pro Helvetia approached the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation to partner on this initiative, held for the first time in French-speaking Switzerland. The Montreux Songwriting Camp offers musicians and songwriters the opportunity to hone their craft and create songs with the potential to resonate with a wide audience. Participants were selected by SUISA, Pro Helvetia, and the MJAF programming team.
