Antonio Monasterio Ensamble

Formed in Chile in 2016, the sextet Antonio Monasterio Ensamble embarks this year on its first world tour. Blending guitar, oud, flugelhorn, drums, piano, and bass, the group is acclaimed for its distinctive timbres, intricate arrangements, and dynamic live performances. At the crossroads of jazz and sounds from around the globe, the sextet moves seamlessly between hyper-rhythmic passages and atmospheric moods. Their second album Las Furias y el Mar (2023) earned them the Pulsar Award for Best Jazz Fusion Artist.
