Ramzi Hammad & Collective

Swiss-Palestinian drummer and composer Ramzi Hammad, 25, based in Zurich, weaves Middle Eastern rhythms with contemporary jazz grooves. In 2022, he founded the RH-Collective, inspired in part by the London jazz scene. Nominated for the Moods “ZKB Jazz Prize“ and winner of the m4music “New Jazz Showcase“, the band is known for its electric energy and tight sound. Following the single Cross Rhythms (winter 2024), Ramzi released his first EP, Melting Pot, in spring 2025—a manifesto celebrating Zurich’s diversity and his bicultural journey. His vibrant and danceable music is driven by precise, narrative-driven drumming.
