Drummer Emanuel Harrold is a longtime collaborator of Gregory Porter, with whom he has been touring for over 10 years. Born into a musical family spanning three generations, Harrold began playing in his father’s church before entering the gospel scene in St. Louis. A self-taught musician at first, he later pursued studies at the prestigious New School in New York. He has played with renowned artists such as Stevie Wonder, Jon Batiste, Damon Albarn, De La Soul, and Robert Glasper. Harrold is also a composer and producer, with his latest album We Da People released in 2022.
