Pianist and composer Yaron Herman has collaborated many times with the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation, notably as president of the jury of the piano competition and mentor of the Montreux Jazz Academy. The Paris-based Israeli musician has toured all over the world, released a dozen albums and won numerous prestigious awards (Victoires du Jazz, iTunes Choice Award, New Talents Trophy, Adami Jazz Talent…). He has developed a unique piano style of “real time composition”, both mathematical and instinctive, mixing traditional Israeli music, jazz and classical music. Yaron Herman has collaborated with Ambrose Akinmusire, Chick Corea, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Avishai Cohen, Pat Metheny, Fatoumata Diawara and Matthieu Chedid.
