The Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation is pleased to announce the selection of Kety Fusco for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), a prestigious U.S. government initiative for cultural and professional exchange.
Kety Fusco’s nomination to participate in the IVLP alongside industry peers from around the world is the result of a collaboration between the MJAF and the Permanent Mission of the United States to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva to advance music innovation and economic growth. The nomination of the Ticino-born harpist—supported for several years by the MJAF—underscores the Foundation’s commitment to supporting emerging artists and fostering cultural exchange across borders.
A journey across several U.S. cities
From September 21 to October 12, 2025, Kety Fusco will take part in the IVLP program dedicated to the theme “American Music and the Economy.” During her trip, she will visit several U.S. cities—including Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Milwaukee, and Los Angeles—where she will meet music industry experts and leading institutions. She will engage in discussions on key issues such as music distribution, the role of music in the economy, and the protection of intellectual property.
Launched in 1940, the IVLP is the U.S. government’s premier professional exchange program. It has welcomed more than 230,000 international participants to date, including numerous heads of state, ministers, and Nobel Prize laureates.
