Magic once again worked its charm at the Petit Palais: the 2025 edition of the MJF Residency generated moments of sharing and unforgettable musical discoveries, in a setting that fostered encounters and creativity.
Now in its sixth consecutive year, the initiative, organised by the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation, has enabled young artists to enjoy a rich learning experience and exchange ideas with inspiring mentors and professionals. The activities open to the public attracted enthusiastic crowds, who turned out in large numbers to attend showcases, discover emerging bands and enjoy jam sessions.

PRIX COUP DE COEUR donated by Julius Baer
French artist of Ivorian origin, wordsofAzia won the Coup de Cœur Prize offered by Julius Baer Bank, partner of the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation. Her poetic and spiritual universe, blending soul, jazz and traditional Bhété rhythms, captivated the audience in the hall and on social media. She wins music equipment of her choice worth CHF 8,000.
